We have your details. Blue Ocean is a small, founder-led practice and we take on a limited number of families each year, so we are not the right fit for everyone who writes in.
What is useful to you now, whether or not we work together, is knowing what a serious profile looks like at the student's stage. We have sent that to your email.
Dr. Sanjay and his team worked wonders with my son, helping us get offers from colleges with under 5 per cent acceptance rates. Their counselors were available at any hour to take our calls, and their help with essays was truly phenomenal, elevating the quality many times over.

The team was always accessible and approachable, and patient with all of our questions, and we had a lot. They perfected our UK application, and we got into our first choice, a college with an acceptance rate under 6 per cent, which we did not think was possible with our profile.

The team opened doors to opportunities tailored precisely to her goals in Economics, including a workshop in Delhi and research work. Their understanding of university admissions, exam prep and essay strategy gave us a clear edge. She secured offers from King's College London, Warwick, Manchester, UIUC and Wisconsin-Madison.

Thirty minutes, and no decision is asked for at the end of it. It is the first of three steps.
It fits if the student is in Grades 8 to 11, is hardworking and coachable, and will do original work over years rather than months. Three to four years of runway is ideal. One year works with realistic expectations.
It does not fit if you want a guaranteed admit, if you want the application written for you while the student does not grow, or if cost is the main factor in the decision. Intake is selective in both directions, and we say no when we cannot do real work for the student.
